I get the game in the post. Sweet. I put in my ps3, it starts. The R logos come up, then the initial picture sequence and the music. After a couple of minutes the music stopped and the pictures lingered for a while. After a good 7 or 10 minutes I’ thinking this ain’t right so I cancel with the ps button and start again. Same thng for the next few time before eventually I get the black screen with “starting a new game” in the corner. I get as far as the first part where you drive to “the mansion” but when I pulled up to the yellow marker nothing happens. The cousins billic stay in the f****** car! Time continues though. The sun started coming up and people were still walking by! So I quit and tried again, guided by the online advise of signing out of PSN, removing game, turning PS off, deleting save files etc. When I started the game again I eventually got through to the first save point before it crashed. I start again but I realised (i admit my error here) there is “save utility data” and “game utility data” which I don’t think I realised before so I delete both and load game, again. This time i get (for the first time) the update download and the “Installing data to hard disk drive” message with the bar and pictures and the music which I can now hear in my sleep. I’m thinking at this point, happy days, here we go, until the progress bar stops and refuses to move passed the ‘n’ in installing…This is where I am now, and each time I retry (with all the ‘fix’ info) the bar seems to make even less progress. Apologies for the essay but I am f***** off with this s***! Is it my scratched game? If so why did it sort of play and if not then wtf is it? Oh, and the ebay guy refused my refund request. He said it was in “mint condition”. Bast***. :(
