As someone with horrible knees I can totally relate! When I went to physical therapy the things they put me through with my knees were so scary and I thought for sure I'd be in a wheelchair within one week. But with regular exercises, I have way less pain and stronger knees. I think what you're saying is very true! I also think you should wear a light brace on your left knee (if you don't already). There are many specific targeted exercised you can do to help strengthen your knees. Tall people are especially at risk for knee injury, so you may want to consider doing some of these daily.

A good one that I like it to take a small ball or wadded up pillow and place them between your knees. While you lean against a wall or door, squat just a little and squeeze the ball or pillow as hard as you can while you count to 10. Stand up and relax. Repeat this 20 times daily. It will help.

Ice if you're having pain and take an anti-inflamitory.

Good for you Mick! I'm proud of you!
